VOCES8 Foundation - UK Board of Trustees
Sarah Calcutt
Originally a classically trained musician, Sarah returned to her family farm in her mid 20’s and has subsequently enjoyed a varied career in the British food and farming sector. She has worked in land-based education, sector trade associations, run a successful consultancy focused on retailer & policy engagement with B2B and B2C communications, was chair of the fruit industry’s charity for 15 years, led a major Food Redistribution Charity and latterly has moved to a non-exec focus. Sarah is currently a non-exec director of the DEFRA-owned New Covent Garden Market and Outfield Technologies (Drone +AI Agri-tech), Chair of the Board of Trustees for Mole End Organics Employee Owned Trust and is chair of the awards council of the Worshipful Company of Fruiterers. Every stage of her career has had an element of education and creating opportunities for young people.
Her love of music and her musical training stems from the superlative Kent Music team; she benefited from their supported schemes and is delighted to be joining the VOCES8 Foundation team to help children, like her, discover the joys of singing and the skills and confidence that musical training brings.
