US Education Programs

The VOCES8 Foundation USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2017 (?) to support the growing education work of VOCES8 and the Foundation in America. Since that time, thanks to the support of many generous donors, we have increased our capacity to offer resources, training, and performance opportunities significantly. We invite you to explore our current programs, and apply if interested! If you have questions about our work in the US, feel free to get in touch with us.

Choral Professional Learning Community (CPLC)

The CPLC is a year-long professional development journey designed for dedicated choral educators. This intensive, multi-tiered program offers teachers unprecedented in-classroom access to the VOCES8 Method and the expertise of our master educators. Participants will gain powerful instructional strategies, practical rehearsal techniques, and curriculum resources that create immediate impact while establishing a foundation for long-term ensemble success.

Throughout the academic year, participants will engage in full-day residencies with a Foundation Lead Educator, who will provide targeted strategies to address each participant's unique ensemble challenges. Supporting the in-person meetings will be monthly virtual sessions where the whole CPLC cohort will come together with the Lead Educators to discuss the approaches being employed and evaluate progress. The program culminates in a collaborative capstone project where participants, working with Foundation staff and a professional ensemble, develop a project most relevant to their needs and situation. This valuable resource extends the program's impact beyond the participating teachers, enriching the broader choral education community.

We invite applications from teachers in the early part of their careers, ideally in the first 5-7 years of teaching. Additionally, for 2025-26, we are only taking applications for two geographic areas; teachers must be located in the Houston or St. Louis areas.

Application deadline: applications to be a member of the 2025-26 cohort are due August 25, 2025.

Educational Projects

Each year, the VOCES8 Foundation USA uses its resources to undertake a wide range of educational projects around the country, partnering with teachers/musical directors in each location to inspire singers through bespoke projects crafted between our educational team and the directors. If you’re interested in an educational project partnership with The VOCES8 Foundation, please fill out this application and describe your needs and vision. Our team will review each application and will connect to discuss details and see what might be possible. While we welcome general interest in getting involved or starting something in a given community, please note this should only be filled out directly by the teacher/director contact that we will be working with through this process. If you are an individual, we encourage you to identify a teacher/director who would like to start a broader project, and have them apply.

There are two application cycles per year, as detailed below. Only one application per school or community group may be submitted each year.

Proposed Project Date: September 1 - December 20

They are also invited to observe and participate in our innovative education programs and learn to use the unique teaching tool that is the VOCES8 Method.
