Tom Elwin and Friends Opera Gala Concert in aid of Versus Arthritis
An evening of Operatic highlights from some of the UK's brightest up and coming Opera singers
On October 3rd, Operatic Tenor Thomas Elwin will be running the London Marathon for Versus Arthritis, a wonderful charity doing vital work for those affected by Arthritis. Thomas is only too aware of the difficulties that arthritis can bring to peoples lives, with both his mother and sister living with Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Thomas's main skill is not running, whereas his career as an Operatic Tenor has seen him singing all over the world including at English National Opera, BBC Proms, Oper Koln, Oper Stuttgart, with the Munich Philharmonic, BBC Concert Orchestra and more. So at 7.30pm on 1st October - at the Voces8 Centre near St. Paul's Cathedral, Thomas is delighted to be hosting an evening of Opera arias sung by Thomas and at least a dozen of his friends and colleagues from the world of Opera, in aid of Versus Arthritis and the Voces8 Foundation.
Singers appearing alongside Thomas have performed at major opera houses and concert venues in the UK and internationally, including Royal Opera House, Dutch National Opera, Teatro Real, ENO, Glyndebourne, Opera Holland Park, Opera North, Le Chatelet, Paris Opera, Deutsche Oper and Carnegie Hall.
It promises to be an evening not to miss!!
Tickets include entry to the event and drinks and nibbles.
